Our newest service is our large conveyerized powder coating line. We have a five-stage
washer and a Nordson powder booth. TMF has a booth opening of 3’ x 5’. Powder paint is
sprayed as a fine powder - not a liquid. After powder has been applied, the heat from our
oven liquefies and hardens the paint. Some benefits and advantages of powder paint are:

1. Durability - Extremely durable - will endure the severity of most chemical abrasions,
   chipping and ultraviolet radiation from sunlight.
2. Finish - Can provide texture, wrinkle and smooth films in any level of gloss.
3. Higher Quaility - Before baking, parts painted with liquid paint have a strong tendency
   to attract dust particles that mar the final finish. Because powder coatings are dry
   before baking, they attract virtually no dust, leading to a better quality finish.
4. Hides Manufacturing Defects - Minor surface scratches, machining marks and
   manufacturing defects can be more readily hidden by powder coating.

TMF offers all types of powder finishes including epoxies, polyesters, hybrids and textures. If certain surfaces need to remain unpainted, parts can be masked using a variety of methods prior to powder coating. Our experienced maskers can achieve razor sharp lines to meet any specifications. Logos and nomenclature may be silk screened over many powder-coated finishes.
