TMF has mid- to high-volume Chem. Film capabilities both for rack and barrel in lengths up
to 10 ft. long. Chem Film, Iridite and Alodine each refer to essentially the same process, the
application of a chromate conversion coating on aluminum. Chem. Film produces a finish
which protects from corrosion, assures good paint adhersion and conducts electricity. Chem.
Film offers less corrosion resistance than other finishes such as anodizing and does not
resist abrasion. Conversion coatings, which may be applied in a number of ways, have a
uniform, iridescent light to dark gold appearance.

ROHS Compliant Chromate is now available. It will be clear in appearance with a slight blue
haze.
